HOCKEY 4 ALL

We are one of the few Clubs in Kent that has a clubhouse that directly looks out onto the pitch.
This means it is the perfect FAMILY club; allowing parents/siblings/friends/other team to watch hockey without being taken away from the comforts of the clubhouse with its large screen TV, Sky Sports, Wifi access, bar catering and toilets.

Town Centre Site
Our pitch/clubhouse are in the centre of town and only a 5 minute walk from the station and bus routes.

England Hockey's ClubMark Award
This a National Standard which recognises a Club as delivering Best Practise in terms of several elements relating to Developing Young People in Hockey, Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey, Sports Equity and Ethics, and Club management. SHC was one of the first hockey clubs in the country to be awarded this accreditation.

SHC hosts the Kent U16 Boys Academy and is an integral part of England Hockey's Player Pathway
Since England Hockey's Player Pathway (formerly The Single System) was inaugurated, SHC has played a key role in hosting academies of various age groups, sometimes male, sometimes female.

A Great Foundation for the Future
The Club’s excellent pitch and clubhouse facility, with the clubhouse overlooking the pitch, provides a safe and comfortable surrounding where young players can experience quality coaching to launch them onto their hockey career and enjoy the friendly ambience of the clubroom where they can hone their social skills amongst other young and not so young club members.

We run teams for men and women which provide competitive playing opportunities for all levels of ability.

Walking Hockey
SHC is one of the first clubs in Kent to introduce Walking Hockey. Walking Hockey is perfect for players who are looking for a less physically demanding version of the game but still enjoy showing their skills and being involved in the team and social aspect.
