Things are starting to shape up at Sittingbourne Hockey Club with the first phase of our 5 year plan being rolled out for the 2024/25 season. We have set ourselves very ambitious targets across all areas of the club in an effort to improve and grow on and off the pitch.
"It's an ambitious plan but one we feel is necessary and could well see us push to that next level..." Ed Carter, Club Chairman.
We have been working very hard through the summer season to produce our 5 year plans for all sections including Minis, Junior and Youth Hockey, Womens Club and Performance Hockey, Mens Club and Performance Hockey as well as Walking Hockey, Flyerz and our Community Hockey which are the primary focus of our Hockey 4 All programme, setup 2 years ago and has not looked back since.
"I've never been so excited for a season, there is a genuine buzz about the place with exciting times ahead, it will be hard, had work but totally worth it once we start seeing results." Iain Burwood, Club Vice Chairman.
More specific details will be announced over the next few days however we have strengthened the club at committee level with very passionate, committed, like minded individuals all working towards the same goal. This provides us with the foundation to then build each section making the club member experience the best it can possibly be whether you're 4 years old or 80 years old, a playing member, a social member, a guest, a visitor, a coach, an umpire, whoever.
If you're reading this or talking to a fellow club member and have any questions you would like answered or ideas you would like to put forward then please email these in to info@sittingbournehc.co.uk or message / call Ed or Iain directly.
Exciting times ahead. #strongertogether #upthebourne
